{"id":2564,"date":"2014-02-03T01:28:11","date_gmt":"2014-02-03T01:28:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.argoknot.com\/?p=2564"},"modified":"2014-02-03T01:38:35","modified_gmt":"2014-02-03T01:38:35","slug":"warm-and-humid","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/argoknot.s005.wptstaging.space\/?p=2564","title":{"rendered":"Warm and humid"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It was actually too hot today. \u00a0It doesn&#8217;t seem possible! \u00a0We drove only moderate distances for four days and went from single digit temperatures in Connecticut to what feels like the heat of a sultry August day. \u00a0 I almost wilted today&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>My little copper pipe loom is not completely assembled yet or I would have had the perfect opportunity to warp it up today&#8230;. in the shade of the pavillion next to the building with the laundry room. \u00a0I did four HUGE loads of laundry today and got a fair amount of knitting accomplished on my first Oktoberfest sock (instead of weaving little circles!). \u00a0I am almost ready to turn the heel.<\/p>\n<p>A couple of manatees were in the harbor today and one of them visited our boat for a while! \u00a0He is gigantic, isn&#8217;t he?!!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/argoknot.s005.wptstaging.space\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/2-2-14a-manatee-Ft.-Pierce.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2568\" alt=\"2-2-14a manatee Ft. Pierce\" src=\"https:\/\/argoknot.s005.wptstaging.space\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/2-2-14a-manatee-Ft.-Pierce.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"933\" srcset=\"https:\/\/argoknot.s005.wptstaging.space\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/2-2-14a-manatee-Ft.-Pierce.jpg 700w, https:\/\/argoknot.s005.wptstaging.space\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/2-2-14a-manatee-Ft.-Pierce-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There was a large turtle near our boat, and Bob declared it a freshwater turtle, so the water in this harbor must be fairly brackish. \u00a0We watched the ibises congregate in the mangroves for the night&#8230;. it is such an impressive sight. There are lots of pelicans here.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/argoknot.s005.wptstaging.space\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/2-2-14-012-pelican-Ft.-Pierce.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2569\" alt=\"OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA\" src=\"https:\/\/argoknot.s005.wptstaging.space\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/2-2-14-012-pelican-Ft.-Pierce.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"933\" srcset=\"https:\/\/argoknot.s005.wptstaging.space\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/2-2-14-012-pelican-Ft.-Pierce.jpg 700w, https:\/\/argoknot.s005.wptstaging.space\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/2-2-14-012-pelican-Ft.-Pierce-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I also worked on a bit of embroidery, something I haven&#8217;t touched in about a decade. \u00a0All in all, it has been a very relaxing day&#8230; culminating with watching Renee Fleming sing the national anthem at the Superbowl (the only part of the game I watched!).
